Today is March 10, also known as National Mario Day!
If you know our family, you probably have noticed that our kids really enjoy dressing up as Mario characters, playing with Mario toys and Mario video games. The biggest Mario fan, though, is the littlest family member, our 2 year old son.
He received this 1 1/2 foot Mario pillow “buddy” for Christmas and he sleeps next to it every night and carries it around everywhere during the day. He wouldn’t even take our family Christmas picture without it!
Our little guy’s birthday is next month and we are planning on celebrating it Mario-style. I have 30 days to prepare Mario themed cake, snacks, games, and decorations. So for today our goal was to find low key family-friendly activities that were free, quick and fun.
Here are 5 free Mario printables that you can use when you’re in a Mario pinch:
1. Mario Learning Pack
Year Round Homeschooling offers a 50 page bundle for free and it is amazing! Scan through to see which ones are your favorite (and age appropriate) and just print those!
We particularly like the mazes, mathematics, tracing, and finishing the pictures! You can get this pack here!
2. Mario Dot to Dot
My kids think Dot to Dot’s are fun – they don’t realize they are still learning. This is great for K-1st grade. Grab your free printable from Point Your World here.
3. Mario Coloring Pages
Coloring.Rocks has a variety of Mario coloring pages. Each of us colored at least one Mario Character and then we taped them on the wall. It adds a little fun decor to the party! Check out website for the the free coloring pages.
4. Mario Scrabble Math
This activity looked fun – and again – educational. However, our scrabble game is still in storage so we opted to save it for another time. I have it linked here from And Next Comes L if you choose to use it!
5. Mario Themed Images
Google images of different Mario characters. Print. Cut. Tape. It just adds a little flair.
As you can see you do not need any artistic ability 🙂
We had a fun, relaxing MAR10 day with the family.
